STONE RESTORATION THAT BRIDGES CENTURIES

At Kingstone Restoration, we specialize in historic stone restoration with an approach rooted in traditional craftsmanship, material knowledge, and long-term stewardship. We provide stone restoration, façade restoration, and fine stonework for churches, historic buildings, monuments, altars, and sculpture throughout New York City (NYC) and the surrounding region.

With over two decades of expertise, our Master Stonemasons blend timeless European craftsmanship with carefully considered modern restoration methods. We work with stone of architectural, cultural, and spiritual significance, approaching each project with restraint, precision, and respect for original intent. As a woman- and minority-owned firm, we bring a perspective rooted in heritage and cultural continuity, honoring the diverse histories embedded in each project we undertake.

Our practice encompasses architectural stone as well as altars, monuments, sculptures, and ornamental elements. More than repair, our work is the preservation of sacred artistry and architectural legacy, guided by careful assessment and a long-term view of stewardship.

While much of our work involves complex or historically significant projects, we also regularly assist smaller churches, organizations, and individuals seeking thoughtful, responsible care for their stonework. Whether addressing a landmark building restoration or a modest but meaningful stone conservation effort, we apply the same standards of craftsmanship and care.

From intricate stone detailing, marble restoration, exterior masonry repair, or historic façade conservation, our focus remains the same: to honor the sacred and historic, ensuring each masterpiece endures with integrity for generations to come.

Michael Devonshire, Jan Hird Pokorny Associates

"Kingstone, Joe and his crew, were involved in the restoration of the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, in Manhattan, for which we were the architects. The work was completed in an exceptional manner, and the project was awarded a commendation by the New York Landmarks Conservancy. I recommend them highly."
